Captain

Takao Taniguchi is a new transfer from Aoba Gakuin, a prestigious baseball junior high school. When he arrives at Sumitani Junior High wearing his old uniform, the new team mistakes him for a skilled player, but in reality he was just a substitute warming the bench. Takao is too timid to correct them, and almost gives up, but is encouraged by his father to make the effort to improve and live up to his new team's expectations. The team is always led by its captain, who guides the players through the ups and downs of each season. When one captain graduates, another player takes his place as the new protagonist.
