In the 21st century, the Metropolitan Police Department created the Brave Police to tackle high-tech crime, introducing a new team of robots equipped with advanced AI. Upon completing their first unit, Deckerd, they noticed something unusual—he seemed to have a 'heart.' It turned out this warm personality originated from Yuta Tomonaga, a 10-year-old fourth grader who had accidentally wandered into the factory and interacted with Deckerd daily. Juzo Saejima, the Superintendent General who initiated the Brave Police project, appointed Yuta, the boy who gave Deckerd his heart, as the world's first boy police officer and the pilot of Deckerd.
