Thirty-five years after the original Super Dimension Fortress Macross, the 37th ultra long-distance immigration fleet is setting off to find a new planet to call home. The fleet is led by its advanced flagship, the Macross 7. Within the fleet, residential areas have been designed to resemble Earth’s townscapes, and over one million crew members, including both civilians and military personnel, are living relatively normal lives onboard. In City 7, the main residential area of the Macross 7, Basara Nekki and the rock band Fire Bomber are preparing for their first concert when a mysterious new enemy reveals itself.
