Magic Knight Rayearth
During a school field trip to Tokyo Tower, three eighth-grade girls from different schools unexpectedly meet: the spirited tomboy Hikaru Shidou, the serious and focused rich girl Umi Ryuuzaki, and the intelligent and reserved Fuu Hououji. As they gaze out the window, they see a mysterious girl appear in a blinding light. She introduces herself as Princess Emeraude and asks for their help to save her world. When the light fades, they find themselves in the parallel world of Cephiro.
The girls soon learn that this world relies on the will of a person known as the "Pillar" through prayer. The current Pillar, Princess Emeraude, has been captured by the evil high priest Zagato and used her last strength to summon them to Cephiro. To return home, the trio must rescue the princess by venturing into a dangerous world filled with monsters and defeat Zagato as Magic Knights.
