Call of the Night
Yofukashi no Uta
Kou Yomori, a second-year middle school student, became a recluse after he turned down a girl's confession, which caused her friends to blame him. One night, struggling with insomnia, Kou decides to venture out alone at midnight for the first time without informing anyone.
He finds solace in this tranquil empty world that feels so different from the daytime. During his outing, Kou meets Nazuna, a vampire, who ends up drinking his blood. She reassures him that being bitten won’t turn him into a vampire. When Kou expresses his desire to become one, she explains that he must fall in love with a vampire first. So, Kou begins to stay up late each night with the goal of falling in love with Nazuna, which leads to more interactions with her and other vampires.
