Uncle from Another World

In the autumn of 2017, Takafumi, a university student, pays a visit to his uncle in the hospital, who has just woken up from a 17-year coma. The uncle starts speaking in an unusual language and claims to have been in a different world called Gran Bahamar. Initially, Takafumi thinks his uncle has lost his mind and tries to brush it off. However, when his uncle actually shows him some magic, Takafumi’s perspective shifts, and he suggests that his uncle could use his talents to become a YouTuber. They then begin living together in an apartment, where the uncle often shares fascinating stories about his life in the other world. Yet, this isn’t your typical isekai tale; it’s a deep and poignant narrative about the 17 years he spent there.
As the story progresses, it unfolds through the uncle's memories of his time in Gran Bahamar, highlighting his adventures and challenges. Meanwhile, in the real world, the story also delves into the generational gap brought about by the uncle's long coma, complete with some lighthearted jokes related to his obsession with Sega.
