Kenzaburo Tondabayashi, a dedicated bureaucrat, bravely saves a boy from an oncoming truck but tragically loses his life. However, he finds himself reborn in the enchanting world of the Otome game, Magical Academy: Love & Beast, as the character Grace Auvergne, originally cast as the villainess. With his inherent politeness, Kenzaburo transforms Grace into a kinder individual and even forms a friendship with the game's heroine, Anna Doll, who the original Grace would have seen as an enemy. Meanwhile, Kenzaburo's physical body, surprisingly, remains alive but in a coma. His loving wife and daughter discover the truth about his predicament and embark on a heartfelt journey to help him complete the game, believing that this might be the key to bringing him back to them.
