In a world where turning 16 brings blessings from various animal gods, Sophia Reeler, a shy countess's daughter at the elite Tireltown boarding school, longs for a quiet life. Instead, she receives the blessing of the Gorilla God, known for its immense strength. Now, armed with extraordinary abilities, Sophia must become a candidate for the Royal Knights. Reluctantly, she takes the squire examination, crossing paths with the skilled examiner Louis Scarrel and fellow examinees Isaac Sheehan and Eddie Pheles. Despite her desire to fail, her natural talents shine through, and she passes to become a squire, drawing the attention of the knights, as Gorilla bearers are rare.
