The main character, who experienced a terrible betrayal from his wife in his past life, meets a tragic end filled with despair. Just before he passes away, a mysterious guide offers him a chance to reincarnate in a different world as a corrupt lord. He is reborn in the feudal interstellar nation of the Algrand Empire as Liam Sera Banfield, the legitimate heir of the Banfield family. At the tender age of five, he is unexpectedly entrusted with the family's leadership by his father.The Banfield family has enjoyed a life of luxury since his grandfather's time, but they are now facing financial difficulties. Liam's father leaves him with a parting piece of advice to remember to send money before retreating to the capital star to indulge in a life of leisure.

Left to navigate these challenges, Liam harnesses the abilities of the android Amagi, who was bought to care for him, to improve the finances and military standing of the Banfield family. He also receives a full license in the Issen style from the somewhat questionable sword master Yasushi, becoming a formidable swordsman. Just as he begins to restore the family's territory, the Banfield domain is attacked by the Goaz Pirate Gang. During the successful defense using the Issen style, he rescues the Knight Princess Tia, who eagerly chooses to become Liam's knight.
