Sword of the Demon Hunter: Kijin Gentoushou

During the Edo period, in the first year of the Tenpo era, Jinta and his younger sister Suzune, who had run away from home, were rescued by Genji. Together, they started anew in Genji's hometown, Kadono, alongside his daughter Shirayuki.

As time passed, by the eleventh year of Tenpo, eighteen-year-old Jinta served as a Miko-mori, the guardian of the village's deity, Itsukihime. One day, while hunting a demon near the village, he defeated it but somehow inherited its powers, turning himself into a demon. In his absence, another demon attacked the village, killing Shirayuki, the Itsukihime. Shockingly, Suzune, deceived by the demon, was revealed to be Shirayuki's killer after transforming into a demon herself. Suzune's immense power foretold a calamity in one hundred seventy years, heralding the rise of a dark king.

Now a demon, Jinta took the name Jinya and traversed various eras—Edo, late Edo, Meiji, Taisho, and Showa—hunting demons and gaining strength to confront his sister.
