Mrs. Spoon Pepperpot resides in a quaint little village with her husband, Fork. She wears a small, magical teaspoon around her neck, which occasionally causes her to shrink down to its size, while the teaspoon itself remains unchanged. When this happens, she must carry it on her back until she returns to her original size, which occurs after a certain period. This unique ability comes with its perks, as it allows her to converse with animals and embark on delightful adventures in the woods, where she frequently makes fascinating new friends.

Among her closest companions is Lily, a mysterious young girl who lives alone in the forest, as well as a charming mouse family. Mrs. Pepperpot must keep her secret hidden and avoid revealing her shrunken form, which can be quite challenging at times. Eventually, her husband discovers her enchanting secret as the story unfolds.

This short-form anime was aired on NHK General TV as 130 10-minute episodes.
