Daichi Sho, once a substitute for the prestigious Shimizu-gaoka FC, transfers to Kitahara Elementary School and join the Kitahara Kickers. The Kickers have struggled with no official wins and a daunting losing streak in practice matches, and their spirits have been dimmed, especially for captain Masaru Hongo and Kenta Ishii, who have lost their love for the game.
With Sho's enthusiasm, the Kickers face a challenging practice match against Nanyo SC, a formidable team in the prefecture. They find themselves overwhelmed, conceding 12 goals in the first half to the skilled Nanyo, featuring goalkeeper Hikaru Uesugi and the talented Nanyo Three Glass. However, in the second half, fueled by tenacity, they manage to score a goal against Uesugi, transforming the match into a testament of their resilience. Although they finish with a score of 1-12, the passion and tears of frustration ignited during this match mark the true beginning of the Kickers' journey.
