Maison Ikkoku
A new manager named Kyoko Otonashi has just taken over the old wooden apartment complex, Maison Ikkoku. Kyoko is still grappling with the loss of her husband, Soichiro, who passed away a year ago, and her emotions are quite tangled. Her father-in-law, who is the landlord of Maison Ikkoku, suggested this job to her in hopes that it might help ease her loneliness. One of the residents, a young ronin named Yusaku Godai, finds himself falling for Kyoko, but she is still cautious with her feelings and pretends not to notice. As time goes by, the daily lives of the tenants at Maison Ikkoku continue to weave together, bringing Kyoko and Yusaku closer.
