Mami Sakura, a middle school student at Meigetsu Junior High School, suddenly discovers her hidden psychic abilities when she saves her classmate, Kazuo Takahata, from a perilous situation. Initially disheartened by the revelation that he is not an esper himself, classmate Takahata distances himself from Mami. Yet, finding his strength again, he chooses to stand by Mami's side as her esper coach. Together, they embark on a journey where Mami refines her unique gifts, balancing the life of an ordinary student with her mission to bring justice and aid to those in need.
