Soichiro Akagi, the founder of the Akagi Group, had three sons: Shoma, Gunma, and Yuma. Gunma Akagi, feeling like an outsider as an illegitimate heir, chose to break free from his family's expectations and embarked on a journey of self-discovery. He soon found himself immersed in the world of formula racing, alongside the talented mechanic Tamotsu Oishi. As fate would have it, he also encountered Junko Komori at his boarding house and began to nurture feelings for her, though winning her heart proved to be a challenge.
As Gunma's racing career developed, he traveled across Japan and eventually around the globe, forging new friendships and reconnecting with old ones, as the threads of his past and present intertwined.
