Nine-year-old Mary moves in with her uncle after the heartbreaking loss of her parents to cholera. Having been raised in a life of luxury with servants, she struggles to become independent. As time goes on, she forms a bond with Dickon, a shepherd boy, and Colin, her sickly cousin. While exploring the estate, Mary stumbles upon a forgotten, withered garden that is in desperate need of care. With determination, she resolves to revive this secret garden, transforming not only her own life but also the lives of those around her.
