Getter Robo Go
In the year 200X, a rare metal known as G-Ore, which boasts strength hundreds of times greater than that of diamond and ceramic, was discovered. A brilliant yet misguided scientist, Doctor Rando, took control of the multinational development base "Polar Station," established in the Arctic for mining and research. From there, he set forth on a quest for global domination, commanding an army of giant robotic monsters known as Metal Beasts, all fortified with G-Ore.
In response to this unprecedented threat, the Japanese Defense Agency sought help from Getter Robo, a state-of-the-art space development robot owned by NISAR, the Japan International Aerospace Technology Corporation, located by the shores of Lake Saroma in Hokkaido. Initially, Dr. Tachibana of NISAR hesitated to deploy Getter Robo for combat, but after the tragic loss of his son, Shinichi, in battle, he resolved to enhance Getter for the challenges ahead.
