Slam Dunk

Hanamichi Sakuragi is a high school delinquent who is always getting into fights. He's also not very popular with girls, having been rejected fifty times in junior high. When he starts his first year at Shohoku High School, he meets Haruko Akagi and instantly falls for her. However, her true goal is to introduce him to the school's basketball team, believing his tall physique makes him a perfect fit. The catch is that Hanamichi actually hates basketball because the last girl he confessed to liked a basketball player. Nevertheless, wanting to impress Haruko, he shows that he has a natural talent for sports, even though he can be immature and hot-headed. Things soon get complicated when another newcomer, Kaede Rukawa, joins the team, as Haruko has an unrequited crush on him.
