Ryu Sasakura is a talented bartender known for crafting the most expertly mixed cocktails. After returning from his studies in France, Ryu starts as an assistant to a senior bartender at Lapin. Eventually, he opens his own bar, Eden Hall, tucked away in a cozy corner of the Ginza district in downtown Tokyo. It’s said that you can’t just walk into Eden Hall; you need an invitation from the host. It seems like only the most troubled souls find their way to Ryu but when his signature drink, the Glass of the Gods is placed before them, they are able to leave refreshed. The Glass changes from person to person, but Ryu always seems to know what they are looking for.
Miwa Kurushima is the granddaughter of Taizo Kurushima, the owner of Hotel Cardinal. She works in the office and encourages Ryu to compete for a bartender position at the hotel. Initially, Ryu faces rejection from Kamishima, the hotel’s beverage manager. However, after Miwa speaks highly of him, Taizo meets Ryu and is impressed by his skills, prompting Miwa to advocate for Ryu to join the hotel staff.
At Eden Hall, a variety of guests with unique challenges and burdens come seeking solace. Under Ryu's attentive guidance and with his exquisite drinks, these customers find themselves reflecting on their lives and discovering new paths to confront their issues.
