Many years ago, mysterious gates called Kunado appeared in Japan, linking to another world known as the Demon Capital. From these gates came monsters known as Ushioni, who preyed on humans. At the same time, "Peaches" were found that grant special abilities, but only to women, leading to a matriarchal society with female leaders in many countries. To tackle Ushioni problems and manage the Peaches, the Japanese government formed the Magic Defense Squad, made up of women with special abilities.

In 2020, Yuki Wakura, an ordinary high school student unsure about his future, accidentally enters the Demon Capital through a gate. He’s attacked by Ushioni but is saved by Kyoka Uzen, leader of the Seventh Magic Defense Squad. As the enemies close in, Kyoka uses her ability Infinite Chains on Yuki, enhancing him to fight back. To her surprise, Yuki’s newfound strength helps them win, leading to an unexpected reward. Yuki becomes Kyoka's assistant and manages the Seventh Squad’s dormitory, spending his days battling Ushioni.
