Marie is the second daughter of a poor baronet family. Dressed in worn clothes, her parents seem to treat her more like a servant. Despite this, she keeps a kind heart and faces each day with optimism. On the day of her birthday party, her parents use the occasion to showcase her older sister, Anastasia, to the guests. While waiting outside to stay out of the way, Marie catches the eye of the wealthy Count Kyros Granado, who falls in love with her at first sight. Unfortunately, due to a misunderstanding from her parents, Kyros accidentally mixes up Marie's name with her sister's when he sends his marriage proposal.
