The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity
Kaoru Hana wa Rin to Saku
Rintaro Tsumugi is a second-year high school student who is kind at heart but has a tough appearance. He is sometimes left in charge of his family's cake shop, "Patisserie Plain." He attends Chidori Public High School, a bottom-tier boys' school known for its reputation as a gathering place for delinquents. Next to Chidori is the prestigious Kikyo Private Academy Girls' High School, which hosts a much more elite student body, and the two schools have a long-standing rivalry, though the difference between them is as clear as night and day. Kaoruko Waguri attends Kikyo on a scholarship, and during a chance encounter at Rintaro's cake shop, she develops a secret crush on him. As time goes on, Rintaro is surprised that Kaoruko can see his true personality despite his appearance and reputation, and their connection begins to grow.
