In 2080, Japan faced a significant decline in birth rates, resulting in children aged 15 and under making up just 0.1% of the population. In this society, children are carefully protected, and adults strictly oversee their upbringing. Christmas has become a distant memory, with many viewing Santa Claus an ancient custom or even as a fictional legend.
On December 25, middle school student Kazushige Sanda suddenly becomes the target of his classmate Shiori Fuyumura. Kazushige mistakenly thinks that Shiori's unusual behavior is due to a crush on him, but the reality is much stranger. When certain conditions are met, Shiori breaks the seal on Kazushige's body, causing him to transform into Santa Claus. Looking to make use of Santa's superhuman abilities, Shiori recruits him to help save her friend, Ichie Ono. Together, they find themselves in confrontations with adults, including the academy principal, who intends to control children's thoughts, and the Red-Clad Special Investigation Team, which aims to monopolize Santa Claus's powers.
