Watashi ga Koibito ni Nareru Wake Nai jan, Muri Muri!
During her junior high years, Renako Amaori spent her time as a loner, often skipping school and had no friends. Eager to change her image in high school, she strikes up a conversation with the most popular girl, Mai Oduka, on the entrance ceremony day, and they become friends. As the school year kicks off, Renako successfully joins Mai's group of popular girls, and she begins to lead a fulfilling high school life.
Two months later, feeling mentally exhausted from the days spent acting as a popular girl, Rena escapes to the rooftop to rest. Concerned, Mai follows her but mistakenly thinks Rena is about to jump, rushing to stop her. In the chaos, they both tumble from the rooftop. After narrowly escaping death, they open up about their troubles and swear to be true best friends. However, the next day, Rena is confessed to by Mai. Puzzled by this sudden declaration, Mai proposes a game to determine whether they should be "best friends" or "lovers."
