Shigeru Yoshioka is a 34-year-old former salesman who became a recluse after being falsely accused of a crime. One day, he discovers an online method to travel to another world and, half-believing it, decides to give it a try. Suddenly, an RPG-like status screen appears on his device. Not taking it seriously, he adjusts his appearance to the ugliest setting, which surprisingly grants him a huge number of bonus points in other stats, giving him godlike abilities. However, Shigeru finds himself actually reincarnated as his character in a fantasy world. To his surprise, he meets three others from Japan: Seiji, Seika, and Liz, and they form a party together. Despite his incredible strength, a quirk from his character creation causes him to take significant damage whenever he touches a woman. As he embarks on quests, battles, and builds relationships, Shigeru must weigh whether the value of companionship is worth the risks that come with his exceptional abilities.
