Akane-banashi

As a child, Akane looked up to her father and his rakugo performances, a traditional Japanese storytelling art where a single performer tells a complex and often humorous story with various characters, using changes in pitch, tone, body movements, and hand gestures, all while seated. However, after being unfairly excommunicated by Arakawa Issei, the head of his school, her father lost his passion for rakugo and retired. To support him and seek revenge, Akane decided to follow in his footsteps and began studying under her father's old master, Shiguuma Arakawa. Six years later, as a third-year high school student, Akane makes her debut performance at the Arakawa School to honor her father's legacy and demonstrate that rakugo is a respected profession.
