In the 1950s, during the height of Japan's rapid economic growth, the circus became a favorite form of entertainment that was woven into people's everyday life. Many troupes traveled across the country, striving for a chance to participate in the prestigious "Circus Collection," a festival attended by only the finest circus acts. While struggling with their own financial woes, the Sunflower Circus tours from town to town, when they are suddenly joined by Mizuka Tsurumaki, who brings an optimism and energy that re-invigorates the rest of the group. With this fateful encounter, could the girls of the Sunflower Circus finally find their way to the Circus Collection?
