The hero's party successfully drove back the Demon Lord who had invaded from another dimension. However, swarms of demons continued to pour in. Realizing that their situation was dire, the mage Luck urged his friends Eric and Goran to escape while he stayed behind in the dimensional rift to hold off the attackers. After fighting for so long that he lost all sense of time, Luck finally eradicated the demons and saved the world. Upon his return, he is astonished to discover that ten years had gone by, and he is hailed as the hero who saved the world. Having reunited with his old friends, Luck decides to start a new life as a fledgling adventurer.
