Rinko, a 24-year-old office lady, secretly enjoys being an otaku while living alone. To unwind from her hectic days, she turns to her favorite anime and manga. However, every time she watches, her right-side neighbor protests loudly with fierce wall slams. Seeking help, Rinko approaches her gentlemanly neighbor on the left, Akito. When she tries to communicate with the unreasonable neighbor through the wall, he unexpectedly breaks it down, revealing himself to be Haruma Usada, the author of Rinko's favorite manga. Unfortunately, Haruma then also knocks down the wall to Akito's apartment, creating an awkward new living arrangement for all three of them.
