In a quest to conquer the three dimensions, the Jark Empire from a five-dimensional realm launches an invasion of Earth. Yet, standing against them is Raizin-Oh, piloted by the Light Warrior Eldran. Though he successfully intercepts their missile strike, he crashes down to Earth.

On a Saturday afternoon, while the 5th grade class 3 at Yosho Academy remains after school, Raizin-Oh descends from the heavens. Soon after, Eldran appears before the children, gravely wounded from his battle against the five-dimensional beings. He then chooses to entrust them with Raizin-Oh, the Raizin Brace, and the Raizin Medals, empowering them to rise against the Jark Empire.

The following day, sinister beasts emerge from the Arkdarma that has fallen to Earth. Drawn to their school, the children of 5th grade class 3 insert the radiant Raizin Medals into their desks. In that moment, their classroom transforms into a command center, while below, a secret base awakens to reveal the three mechs—Ken-Oh, Hoo-Oh, and Ju-Oh, left as a legacy by Eldran. Together, these mighty machines unite to form the colossal Raizin-Oh.

From that day forward, the children of 5th grade class 3 join together as the Earth Defense Force, ready to stand against the challenges posed by the five-dimensional world, the Jark Empire.
